THE CEO MIND: Audu Maikori (CEO, Chocolate City Entertainment)

Audu strikes you as confident, arrogant and offensively bold, but with good reason. Before hitting age 30, Audu had accomplished what many 45 year olds still dream of achieving. He was the youngest executive on the board of Abuja Markets Management Limited (AMML) in the FCT, where he served as Company secretary after brief stints with renowned law firm: Afe Babalola & Co and Leasing Company of Nigeria where he was the Legal Advisor.

In 2007, for his work in Chocolate City where he presides as CEO, Audu won the British Council organized International Young Music Entrepreneur of the Year (IYMEY) award both locally and internationally beating other local IYMEY winners from Albania, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland and Tanzania.

Before signing rave of the moment: M.I, to his Chocolate City imprint, Audu managed the careers of artistes such as Djinee and Jeremiah Gyang. He is an Entertainment lawyer, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and International Bar Association.

In his spare time, Audu paints, writes poetry and plays tennis.
